  • FRAPS is the Institute for Adventure Dogs — clean, functional fuel crafted for trail-ready pups who hike, run, roam, and FRAP.

  • FRAPS is acronym from the veterinary world and is the technical term for a dog "zoomie". FRAPS stands for Frenetic Random Activity Periods.

  • Dogs burn differently outdoors. We design for portability, digestibility, and functional support so your dog feels great from trailhead to summit.

  • They’re functional treats — adventure fuel. Not a full meal, but a clean boost before, during, or after activity.

  • If your dog doesn’t love their FRAPS bar on an adventure, we’ll make it right with a refund or replacement. No hassles.

  • We donate 2% of all revenue toward dog rescue partners and trail stewardship organizations. Learn more here.

  • No — all bars are designed to be shelf-stable and trail-ready.

  • Puppies over 12 weeks can generally enjoy FRAPS, but start with half a bar and monitor digestion.

  • Each bar is simple and transparent in ingredients. Always check the label if your dog has known sensitivities.

  • We source clean, trusted ingredients — including BC wild salmon, Canadian beef & bison, and Vancouver Island peanut butter.

  • No — only natural preservation methods like gentle dehydration or natural tocopherols.

  • Yes — the format is designed to be pocket-friendly, sweat-resistant, and adventure-proof.

  • Most active dogs can, but adjust for size and their usual tolerance. Break into chunks if needed. FRAPS bars are designed to be breakable, and we recommend taking breaks along your adventure & enjoy the ride with your 4-legged bestie!

  • Air-dried salmon, blueberry, and minimal binders — nothing unnecessary.

  • Plant Lines are soft-chew bars, Wild Lines are firm air-dried treats, and Future Lines also mimic our breakable Plant Lines bars.

  • Each flavour varies — full values appear on packaging. Plant Lines offer steady energy; Wild Lines are higher-protein treats.

Joining The Field Team

  • The FRAPS Field Team is a volunteer ambassador role — packed with perks, product, and trail-first access, but not a paid position.

  • Each term runs for one full adventure season, with the option to renew if you and your dog are still bringing the stoke.

  • We review applications on a rolling basis and aim to reply within 2–3 weeks of submission.

  • No — just bring your love for adventure, your trail‑ready dog, and the ability to capture authentic moments. Phone photos are perfect.

  • For our first Field Team cohort, yes — applicants must live in Canada so we can ship gear and support local adventures.

  • We currently ship Canada-wide from our Squamish home base.

  • Most orders arrive within 3–7 business days depending on location.
